5 years agoMilwaukee Brewers shortstop Orlando Arcia has been on a tear at the plate thus far in Cactus League play. He’s gone 5-for-13 with a double, while also racking up three home runs and eight RBI after the first week of games. He's made adjustments to his swing, and it appears to be paying dividends. “That’s part of the work I’ve been doing with the coaches, staying back on my back leg. Those results have been showing up,” Arcia said. Entering a season in which the Brewers brought in Luis Urías to compete with Arcia at shortstop, it appears as if Arcia isn't yet ready to hand over the everyday role. After a dismal offensive season in 2019, Arcia is likely avoidable in most drafts. He's worth monitoring, though, as the season nears, especially in deep leagues.--James Stokke
