Freddy Peralta Sharp Saturday Against Cubs
5 years agoMilwaukee Brewers pitcher Freddy Peralta tossed three innings, allowing no hits, a walk and three strikeouts against the Cubs on Saturday. Peralta has been focused on adding a slider to his repertoire in the offseason, and the Brewers recently signed him to a new five-year contract. He's gotten off to a hot start to begin spring training. The 23-year-old has elite strikeout ability, and the Brewers seem confident in his growth and potential. He's certainly looking like a sleeper candidate if he lands a spot in the rotation and could offer good value in 2020 and beyond. He's even more valuable in dynasty leagues and leagues that value strikeouts heavily.
