5 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi (quad) is dealing with quadriceps tightness and will not be in the lineup for the next couple of days, after experiencing the issue in Thursday's game. Red Sox interim manager Ron Roenicke is hopeful that Benintendi could make his return to the lineup as early as Tuesday, which suggests the injury is not a concern for the 25-year-old. Benintendi got off to a positive start to the spring, with three runs scored, three hits, one home run, one RBI, one stolen base, a walk and .375 batting average through nine plate appearances. Benintendi will look to produce a bounce-back season at the plate in 2020, after posting totals of 13 home runs, 68 RBI, 72 runs scored, 10 stolen bases, a .266 batting average and .774 OPS through 138 games last season.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller
