J.P. Crawford Picks Up Another Hit On Sunday
5 years agoSeattle Mariners shortstop J.P. Crawford went 1-for-3 with a single during the Cactus League loss to the Chicago Cubs on Sunday. The 25-year-old has had a solid spring thus far, accumulating five hits in 13 at-bats, second on the team behind only Tim Lopes, to go along with three RBI and only one strikeout. Crawford finished 2019 with 78 hits, 46 RBI, and 83 strikeouts in 345 plate appearances after a stint in both AAA and on the disabled list. He is expected to progress this upcoming season as the starting shortstop and could be a decent source for stolen bases and home runs. However, fantasy managers may get production in those areas while taking a hit in other categories until he becomes a more consistent hitter.
