Alex Ovechkin hit the 45-goal plateau for the season with his two goals. He also assisted on the third Capitals goal, which was scored by Richard Panik who had been on a 13-game scoreless streak. Tom Wilson also scored and has 42 points in 64 games. Evgeny Kuznetsov added two helpers and has surpassed 50 points on the season for a fifth straight year. Braden Holtby turned aside 37 of 40 shots for his third straight win. Kevin Fiala had a goal and an assist for the Wild. He’s recorded nine points over his past four games.
