5 years agoChicago White Sox third baseman Yoan Moncada has agreed to a five-year extension to remain with the club. The new deal could potentially buy out two years of free agency. Moncada, 24, was once the top prospect in baseball and is coming off of a breakout 2019 season. The White Sox strong offseason continues and they have now locked up outfielders Eloy Jimenez and Luis Robert in addition to Moncada to provide a strong core moving forward. Moncada is ranked number 41 by RotoBaller heading into drafts and his ability to help across the board gives him a high ceiling heading into 2020.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
