5 years agoThe Cleveland Browns will "explore" a trade for Washington Redskins left tackle Trent Williams, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Washington gave Williams permission to explore a trade, meaning Williams is probably not part of new head coach Ron Rivera's plans going forward. The story indicated that Cleveland may have to part with the 10th overall pick to get the deal done, a steep price in what is a loaded draft class. Williams is 31 years old and a rival talent evaluator indicated that he probably has at least four Pro Bowl-caliber seasons left. Cleveland is also reportedly interested in free-agent left tackle Jason Peters, who the Philadelphia Eagles announced they will let hit the open market. Peters is 38 and would be a short-term solution, but he would also shore up Cleveland's offensive line without costing a high-end draft pick. Either way, expect Cleveland to make improving the offensive line a main focus when the new league year begins.--Matt T - RotoBaller
