5 years agoCleveland Indians starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco (elbow) will have his next start bumped back a few days because the right-hander is dealing with mild elbow inflammation. Manager Terry Francona doesn't seem too concerned about it, however. “Every spring after his first outing, he gets mild elbow inflammation,” Francona said. “I would call it more maintenance than anything.” Carrasco was expected to do some light workouts and will see how his body responds. As long as he doesn’t get pushed back too far, he should still be ready before the beginning of the season. If you take the small sample size last year with a grain of salt and look at his overall career performance, he's likely worth taking a risk on and is possibly poised for a bounce-back year.--James Stokke
