Dee Gordon Goes Hitless In Loss
5 years agoSeattle Mariners second baseman Dee Gordon went hitless in all three plate appearances (one strikeout) during the loss to the Giants on Sunday. Despite his inefficient play in this one, the veteran has played relatively well this spring, racking up four hits (two doubles) on 15 at-bats to go along with three runs and three strikeouts. The 31-year-old had his best season in Seattle in 2019, sporting a slash line of .275/.304/.359, however, he did so while stealing just 22 bases, his lowest total since 2013. He is projected to have a spot on the team's bench this upcoming season. He possesses some value, primarily in AL Only formats, with that value increasing if he is dealt elsewhere during the year to a location where he will have a more established role in the everyday lineup.
