5 years agoSan Diego Padres catcher Luis Campusano-Bracero and shortstop Gabriel Arias were two key prospects sent to minor league camp over the weekend. The club’s No. 4 and 8 prospects, respectively, Campusano and Arias weren’t expected to compete for a roster spot after getting a few weeks of work in big league camp. The 21-year-old Campusano recorded a knock in four spring at-bats and will likely spend most of 2020 in Double-A after posting a robust 148 wRC+ with 15 homers last year in High-A. He’ll probably be joined by the 20-year-old Arias who turned heads in spring training going 4-for-13 (.308 average) while flashing excellent defense. Both players are attractive dynasty pieces with a chance to debut in 2021. Other key cuts on Sunday were infielders Owen Miller, Hudson Potts, Esteban Quiroz and outfielder Edward Olivares.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
