5 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes (heel, ankle) has progressed to running to first base at full speed and hitting regularly in simulated games. While he cannot yet make turns at full speed, Cespedes continues to progress from the heel and ankle injuries that have kept him sidelined since mid-July 2018. The Mets are taking a deliberate pace with his rehab, so it remains questionable whether Cespedes will be ready for Opening Day. Given his recent injury history and the Mets crowded outfield situation, consistent playing time is not a given in 2020. Much will depend on how Cespedes performs in spring training and whether he suffers any setbacks. Owners should continue to monitor this situation. If Cespedes is fully healthy and performing up to his abilities, he's certainly worth a draft selection in deep mixed leagues and in NL-only formats.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
