Starlin Castro May Hit Third
5 years agoWashington Nationals second baseman Starlin Castro is likely to be the team's No. 3 hitter this season, hitting between lefty outfielders Adam Eaton and Juan Soto. It would certainly be a prime situation for Castro and would give a bump to his fantasy value. Castro's 97 career wRC+ doesn't make him a prototypical No. 3 hitter, but his second-half surge in 2019 was backed by launch-angle gains, so there is hope he produces more this season. Additionally, Castro is projected for a batting average in the .280s and his lineup spot will help with runs and RBI. With barely a top-300 ADP, he's become worth the gamble sooner than that in deep mixed leagues.
