5 years agoThe Winnipeg Jets were outshot 38-25 but managed to hold on for a 4-2 win against the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday night. Kyle Connor led the offense by hitting the back of the net twice. He now has eight goals in the past seven games to give him a total of 38 for the season. His 73 points in 71 games is also a career-high. Blake Wheeler chipped in a goal and an assist. He has 11 points over the last 10 games as he plays catch-up after a slow start to the year. After two straight 91-point seasons, he has 65 points in 71 games. Patrick Laine also bent the twine and has two goals and four points over the past three games. Connor Hellebuyck stopped 36 of 38 shots for the second straight game and hasn’t allowed more than two goals in four straight appearances. Connor McDavid scored his 34th goal of the season and sits at 97 points through 64 games. --Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
