5 years agoNew York Yankees reliever Zach Britton (wrist) reported that he would have been able to pitch on Saturday if spring training hadn’t been canceled. Britton took a line drive off of his right wrist during live batting practice on Wednesday and was diagnosed with a bruise after undergoing a CT scan and X-rays, both of which came back negative. That Britton would’ve resumed pitching just three days after getting hit is a good sign, and fantasy owners should expect Britton to be ready for Opening Day without any lingering wrist issue.--Sam Chinitz
