Aaron Hicks Begins Throwing Program
5 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks (elbow) has begun his throwing program. Hicks underwent Tommy John surgery at the end of October and is targeting a return in June or July. That Hicks has begun his throwing program keeps him on track for that timeline, and with the start of the regular season likely pushed back until at least June, Hicks should be a solid fantasy outfielder. Although he’s struggled with injuries, Hicks owns a .823 OPS for the past three seasons, and his 23% chase rate has helped him post an impressive 14.4% walk rate. Fantasy owners should be encouraged by Hicks’ progress and expect him to return by the end of July.
