5 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Chris Sale (elbow) has stated that he will be out of his arm cast and start rehabbing on Thursday, following his Tommy John surgery that took place at the end of March. The 31-year-old hopes to be able to use the Red Sox facility at JetBlue Park to begin his rehab, but if the conditions are not suitable during the current delay that Major League Baseball is facing, he will begin the rehab process at his house. Sale added that he is ‘going to have a better elbow than he did before’ after the 9-14 month rehab process that frequently follows TJ surgery. Sale is confident that he will be able to get back to the level he reached prior to the 2019 season, giving fantasy owners and fans hope that the left-hander will be back in the Red Sox rotation at some point during the 2021 season.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller
