5 years agoThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers are reportedly asking for a very high price in return for tight end O.J. Howard, Jeff Howe of The Athletic reports. It has been an interesting couple of days regarding the tight end's status with the team after the Bucs acquired former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski via trade on Tuesday. If Tampa Bay wants to find a suitable trade partner, the asking price will likely have to be cut down, but it remains unclear exactly what they are asking for in return. In a surprising twist, GM Jason Licht expressed his happiness on Thursday about the Alabama product playing alongside Gronkowski, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The Howard trade rumors have turned into an interesting saga, and time will tell what will happen with the 25-year-old. Though a draft-day trade cannot be ruled out, it may seem likely the Bucs could deal the tight end after the draft--if they ultimately choose to do so and find a worthy trade partner.--Rishi Patel - RotoBaller
