Buccaneers Pick Up O.J. Howard's Fifth-Year Option
5 years agoThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers have elected to pick up the fifth-year option of tight end O.J. Howard, according to the Pewter Report. Despite trade rumors about Howard last week during the draft, the team will now go forward with three tight ends in 2020. With the addition of Rob Gronkowski, the values of Howard and TE Cameron Brate take a hit. The loss of targets makes the Alabama product a backup fantasy TE or one better suited for leagues starting two tight ends. It remains to be seen whether Tampa will entertain any trade offers for the TE in the 2020 season.
