Jaguars Interested In Andy Dalton
5 years agoThe Jacksonville Jaguars are reportedly interested in former Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton, who Cincinnati released on Thursday. Dalton's coming off a 2019 year in which he started 13 games for Bengals, finishing with 3495 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions while completing 59.5 percent of his passes. Dalton's not a high ceiling player at this point in his career, but would be a capable veteran backup to second-year passer Gardner Minshew II, or someone who could start should Minshew either get injured or prove to be ineffective in the starting role. Still, Dalton's upside is that of a low-end fantasy QB2, though Jacksonville might be one of the few places other than New England where he'd be a serious threat to get playing time.
