Jaguars Plan To Use Laviska Shenault In Multiple Ways
5 years agoThe Jacksonville Jaguars spent a second-round pick on Colorado wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. in April's NFL Draft, so it was to be expected that the team would find ways to get him on the field early. But while the general expectation was to use Shenault in three-wide sets with D.J. Chark Jr. and Dede Westbrook, head coach Doug Marrone reportedly wants to find other ways to get Shenault involved, including playing him at tight end, running back and even possibly as a wildcat quarterback. Shenault's ability to line up in the backfield and his tough running style could make using him there more than just a gimmick and instead provide some needed relief for running back Leonard Fournette -- or whoever is the team's running back should Fournette get traded. Shenault is not going to enter 2020 high on anyone's fantasy radar, but he could end up being a steal if the Jaguars manage to get him the ball in such a wide variety of ways.
