CeeDee Lamb Embracing No. 88 With Cowboys
4 years agoDallas Cowboys rookie wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is embracing the opportunity to wear legendary No. 88 for America's team as he begins what he hopes will be a Hall of Fame career. Lamb originally wanted No. 10, but owner Jerry Jones insisted the team's first-round pick wear No. 88 to carry on a legacy in Dallas dating back to Drew Pearson in the 70s. Wide receivers Michael Irvin and Dez Bryant also wore the number, with the former raving about Lamb is a "true-bred" Dallas Cowboy worthy of the honor. Lamb was one of the highest-rated receivers coming out of Oklahoma and joins an offense that was second in the NFL in passing yards last season. Targets in Dallas will be tough to figure out for fantasy, but Lamb should see the field plenty to make an impact in as a rookie. However, he's best targeted as more of a WR4/5 in redraft formats in 2020.
