Dak Prescott Plans To Sign Franchise Tag By Monday
4 years agoDallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott plans to sign his franchise tag by Monday, according to Adam Schefter. The tag would pay Prescott $31.4 million this season and require the quarterback to report to training camp even if the two sides can't agree on a long-term contract extension by the July 15 deadline. This all but assures that Prescott will be under center for Dallas this season, despite the team signing former Bengals starter Andy Dalton as insurance. Prescott was second in the NFL with 4,902 yards last season and enters 2020 as a top-three option at quarterback with some of the best weapons in the game at his disposal.
