4 years agoGian Villante's heavyweight debut was almost a success. He had Maurice Greene reeling in the third round but was caught in an arm triangle and was forced to tap. Villante, who has been a pro since 2009, decided it was time to make a move up to heavyweight. At 34 years old in the heavyweight division, Villante has probably added years to his career. He will likely meet some heavyweights outside the top 15 that he can knock out moving forward. The knockdown of Greene in the third round was a good sign. It should also be noted that Villante's last bout was about 14 months ago. Hopefully, this bout will shake off any "ring rust" he may have had.--Matt Bricker - RotoBaller
