James Conner May Not Return After This Season
4 years agoPittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner could be playing his final year with the club in 2020, according to Cody Flavell of Sports Illustrated. With Conner's health seemingly always in question for one reason or another and the organization looking to save cash for other signings beyond the season, Flavell believes Pittsburgh may not be willing to give the 25-year-old the money required to retain his services. Conner finished 2019 with 464 yards and four touchdowns and battled a shoulder issue that relegated him to only 10 games. While the return of Ben Roethlisberger could open up the run game throughout the season, the fourth-year man could see a slightly reduced workload after the team drafted Anthony McFarland Jr. in the NFL Draft during the offseason.
