The ex-Georgia Bulldog will receive $3.3 million, setting a record for the third round and easily surpassing his slot value of $767,800 at 80th overall. Hyped as a potential first-rounder, the 20-year-old right-hander possesses a lightning fastball and two secondary pitches, setting himself up well in the big leagues for at least a relief role.
