Welcome back, RotoBallers, to our DFS coverage of Counter Strike: Global Offensive for FanDuel and DraftKings.
We have another great series of matches for CS Summit in both regions with EU's 5th place decider (big implications for both teams in the big picture, more on that later) and the upper bracket finals for both EU and NA.
Today I'll be bringing you my Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS lineup picks, analysis, and advice for eSports DFS contests on DraftKings for Thursday, July 3rd at 12 PM EST. CS Summit EU (Best of Three)
- Vitality vs BIG
- fnatic vs GODSENT
- Team Liquid vs Evil Geniuses
CS:GO DFS Captain Considerations
Brollan - $14,700 (c) - Brollan is in a nice bounce-back spot here against GODSENT. He's coming off a pretty lackluster performance against Heroic in which he went negative K/D all three maps, and fnatic lost a tight 2-1 series. Brollan has the potential to single-handedly carry fnatic in games, in both wins and losses.
In their match against BIG a few days ago Brollan went 38-19 in map 1 and fnatic still lost 16-13 and ultimately the series. I always say you want a captain who you can trust to hold their own, even when the team doesn't see success and Brollan certainly fits the bill. Brollan leads fnatic in rating both at CS Summit (1.19) and overall in the last 3 months (1.15) and he will be the key to a potential fnatic victory.
EliGE -$12,900 (c) - Sticking with the theme of consistency; Elige, especially against EG, is a model of consistency. In 21 career maps against EG he is +95 K/D with a 1.19 rating. Over the last three months, Elige has a 1.09 rating (which isn't great for his standards), but in the last one month his rating is at 1.20, and that includes an up-and-down event from him so far. Elige is in a great position for another close series that could go to a 3rd map (and potential overtime games along the way), and playing a familiar foe could be just what the doctor ordered for a breakout pop-off series.
Other captain plays: Zywoo, NAF, CeRq, tabseN
CS:GO DFS Value Plays
CeRq - $7,200 - EG is currently the highest-rated team in CS Summit NA at 1.16 and CeRq and his 1.26 rating are a big reason why. EG's star sniper has been an absolute machine since CS Summit started, boasting a +43 K/D and a 1.30 impact rating, which means he performs in the clutch. I think in the upper bracket semi-finals and with so much familiarity between the two teams, someone for each team is going to have to make individual plays that will make the difference, and CeRq has clearly shown his ability to do so. At only $7,200 I would expect to see a lot of him throughout people's lineups.
XANTARES - $7,000 - Once again, we find Xantares at a great mid-level price to go with excellent production. So far at CS Summit he hasn't gone negative K/D in any series that BIG has played, and he is currently on a 5 map streak with a positive K/D and a >1.00 rating. His overall rating for the event is still an impressive 1.15, and it would be significantly higher if BIG didn't let OG come back and beat them in Game 2 and ultimately take the series in three games when the two teams played last week. In addition to that, he is coming off his best map of the event; a 30-16 map 2 victory against fnatic on July 1. BIG and Vitality is the other upper-bracket final series and Xantares will have to continue playing at a high level for BIG to advance over the French side.
Other value plays: tabseN, KRIMZ, zehN, Brehze, Stewie2K, tarik

Top CS:GO DFS Stacks
Fnatic enter this matchup as the favorites, mostly due to their experience both as a lineup, and in high pressure situations. Remember in the intro when I said this 5th place decider was anything but meaningless? At stake here are points for the Regional Major Rankings, a system to make sure when the major happens (whenever that will be) that the best teams will be there. fnatic and GODSENT are both currently in qualifying spots, but fnatic is in 9th out of 11 qualifying spots while GODSENT currently sits 4th.
However, the three teams directly behind fnatic in the standings in order; BIG, Heroic, OG, are all still alive in the event and will all earn more points than fnatic will at this point. If fnatic drop this series that could be the difference in making or missing what will be the biggest tournament of the year (and maybe in history given it will be the first post-Covid LAN event) and I am counting on fnatic's experience to give them the edge.
Evil Geniuses - Simply put, EG is just too cheap on this slate to ignore. Their most expensive player, who is the second-highest rated player in the whole event, is only $7,200? Now that is the definition of value. EG has finally been able to break their curse vs Team Liquid and even picked up a clean 2-0 series win the last time the two teams played, earlier in CS Summit. That series saw EG's 2 lowest rated players, Stanislaw and tarik, show up with huge performances and lead the team in K/D and rating. While you certainly can't count on that bit of history to repeat itself, EG is certainly capable of winning this series just as much as Liquid is.
Other stacks/teams: Team Liquid due to the unlikeliness of them getting blown out for a second time straight, BIG and Vitality have been the best 2 teams of late, expect another close series with teams likely trading map picks
