4 years agoNew York Yankees third baseman Miguel Andujar is taking ground balls and throws at first base as he attempts to increase his defensive versatility. Andujar attempted defense at first base early in spring training, but the Yankees decided not to pursue that position for him at the time. With third base and left field clogging up, though, the Yankees are retrying Andujar at first base to get him in the lineup. Unfortunately for Andujar, first base is fairly crowded as well, with Luke Voit and Mike Ford already at the position. Andujar’s lack of clear playing time makes him likely to be only relevant in DFS leagues this year despite his impressive bat that produced a .855 OPS in 2018.--Sam Chinitz
