4 years agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Wil Myers may once again be a viable fantasy asset. With outfielder Tommy Pham sidelined indefinitely due to COVID-19, Myers is the front-runner to start in right field. The 29-year-old has maintained a positive outlook despite a tumultuous offseason of trade rumors while entering spring training as a rotational option. With Pham’s injury and Myers’ ability to also play first base and serve as designated hitter, the veteran suddenly has a roadmap to reclaim his offensive luster. After consecutive seasons of 20-plus homers and steals in 2016-17, Myers succumbed to injuries in 2018 and collapsed with a 96 wRC+ last year, lowlighted by a 34 percent strikeout rate. At his 282 ADP, Myers is emerging as a low-cost fantasy option to revisit.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
