4 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Jesus Luzardo (illness) has been cleared to return to summer camp after being on the COVID-19 injured list. Luzardo tested positive for COVID-19 and has not been working out with the team. Returning to A's camp means Luzardo had to test negative twice at least 24 hours apart, but it remains to be seen if he'll be ready to go by Opening Day. He still needs time to build up his pitch count, and last week it was reported he could pitch in any situation, including as an opener, behind an opener or as a reliever until he is ready to take on a normal starter's workload. The left-hander is one of the top pitching prospects in baseball and offers enormous upside with an average draft position outside the top 100.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
