4 years agoNew York Yankees second baseman DJ LeMahieu could start at second base for Saturday’s game against the Nationals, according to manager Aaron Boone. LeMahieu is available off of the bench on Thursday, but the Yankees want the 32-year-old to get more live at-bats in before rejoining the lineup after he missed time with a positive coronavirus test. To that end, LeMahieu is scheduled to hit against Jordan Montgomery on Friday. Tyler Wade is starting at second base on Thursday with LeMahieu sitting, and Aaron Hicks is batting leadoff.--Sam Chinitz
