4 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez (illness) will be shut down for one week due to minor complications following his positive COVID-19 test. Rodriguez, who missed the first two weeks of summer camp, will be re-evaluated in a week. Rodriguez threw a bullpen Saturday, which was his first workout at Fenway Park since joining the team. “It has to do with COVID and it has come up with other people that do have this,” Roenicke said. Rodriguez was “exhausted” after his first bullpen Saturday, Roenicke said. The Red Sox are confident the 27-year-old will pitch this season, so fantasy owners with an IL spot available in their league formats should hold onto the left-handed starter.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller
