Jose Berrios Hit Hard By White Sox
4 years agoMinnesota Twins pitcher Jose Berrios lasted four innings, giving up seven hits, five earned runs and striking out just one batter in his team's Opening Day victory. Berrios had improved velocity on his pitches from last year, averaging 95 MPH on his fastball. Unfortunately, he struggled with location and the White Sox made him pay, particularly Yoan Moncada, who blasted a three-run homer in the second inning. The silver lining here is that Berrios avoided a loss, thanks to Minnesota's mighty offense. Fantasy owners should expect a better performance in Berrios' next start against the St. Louis Cardinals.
