Jordan Lyles Has First Start Of Season Skipped
4 years agoTexas Rangers pitcher Jordan Lyles will not make his first start of the season until next Sunday, August 8th. With Texas having some off days, the team has decided to keep Lance Lynn on regular rest and have him pitch in the series finale against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday. Lyles signed with the Rangers in the offseason and is a fine fifth man in the rotation, but these things will happen to the back end of a pitching staff. Fortunately, this will place Lyles in an advantageous situation against the San Francisco Giants and should be considered a streaming option at the end of next week.
