Kenta Maeda Sharp In Twins Debut
4 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Kenta Maeda was effective in his team debut on Sunday against the Chicago White Sox. Maeda tossed five innings and gave up two runs while striking out six batters with just one walk. Of course, it helped that the Minnesota offense spotted him a 9-0 lead to work with, though it doesn't take anything away from his effort, which earned him his first win of the season. Maeda located well against the powerful White Sox lineup, throwing 58 of his 84 pitches for strikes. The 32-year-old will give fantasy managers excellent value for his 153 ADP if he pitches like this for the rest of 2020. Maeda will look to stay rolling against the Cleveland Indians next Saturday.
