4 years agoLos Angeles Angels shortstop Andrelton Simmons (ankle) left the game after turning his ankle. Simmons was trying to beat out the throw to first after grounding to short and rolled his ankle on the base. This is the same ankle that sent the 30-year-old to the injured list last year- and the two plays looked nearly identical. The veteran shortstop will be checked out by a doctor tomorrow. Simmons will likely be replaced by utility man David Fletcher, who had two hits in Monday's game.--Tim Capurso
