4 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Kyle Gibson took the loss in a 4-1 defeat to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday night. Gibson pitched five innings and gave up five hits, three walks, and three unearned runs in his first start for his new ball club. All of his troubles came in the first inning. With two outs, he walked Starling Marte and then Eduardo Escobar singled before an Isiah Kiner-Falefa throwing error to first allowed them to score. The walks are still a concern for Gibson, but sometimes luck is just not on your side. With the Rangers having an off day on Thursday, Gibson will not pitch until next week against the Oakland Athletics. It's a dangerous lineup in a pitcher's ballpark.
