Tyler Mahle Goes Four Innings In 2020 Debut
4 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Tyler Mahle allowed two runs over four innings in his first start of the 2020 season. Mahle scattered six hits and struck out four in his team's 8-5 loss to the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday. The 25-year-old departed with the game tied at 2-2 but the Cincinnati bullpen was unable to keep the Chicago batters off the scoreboard. Mahle has some strikeout upside but he's also likely to lose his spot in the starting rotation once Anthony DeSclafani is ready to return from injury.
