Stephen Strasburg To Miss At Least One More Start
4 years agoWashington Nationals right-hander Stephen Strasburg (hand) will not start Thursday’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays, as he continues to deal with a nerve issue in his pitching hand. Manager Davey Martinez indicated that Strasburg has been ramping up his activity over the last few days to the point that he could be in line to throw a side session “in a day or two” if all continues to progress well. For now, it appears that right-hander Erick Fedde will hold down Strasburg’s spot in the rotation, with Martinez tabbing Fedde for Thursday’s tilt with Toronto. Strasburg’s status for his next projected start -- which could come next week against the Mets or Orioles -- remains up in the air.
