4 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Jose Quintana (thumb) threw a bullpen on Wednesday. The lefty successfully threw 28 pitches and is scheduled to throw another bullpen session on Saturday. Quintana is recovering from a cut on his thumb that required surgery. With the way his replacement, Alec Mills pitched on Tuesday, there may not a be a big hurry to get Quintana back right away. Even when he is healthy, Quintana is unlikely to make much of an impact outside of very deep mixed leagues and DFS.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
