4 years agoThe New York Mets have promoted second baseman Brian Dozier to the active roster. Dozier initially signed a minor league deal with the San Diego Padres, but was cut prior to the start of the new season. It didn’t take long for Dozier to find a new home and he will bat seventh in his Mets debut versus the Red Sox on Thursday. Dozier is 5-for-14 in his career against Red Sox starter Martin Perez and has also hit two home runs against him. Dozier makes for a cheap option in DFS leagues, but is likely to play backup to Robinson Cano in most games.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
