Clayton Kershaw To Make Season Debut Sunday
4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers left-handed pitcher Clayton Kershaw has been tabbed as the starting pitcher for Sunday’s contest versus the Arizona Diamondbacks. Kershaw has been sidelined thus far in 2020 due to a back ailment, but is reportedly “champing at the bit” to get back on the mound, per Dodgers manager Dave Roberts. Kershaw had been tabbed as the team’s Opening Day starter both back in March and in Summer Camp, but he will finally get on the mound against a D-backs club that scored just 20 runs through its first seven games. There has been no announcement as it pertains to any kind of pitch count for the three-time Cy Young winner, but owners can safely deploy the southpaw no matter the format.
