4 years agoMinnesota Twins third baseman Josh Donaldson (calf) is considered day-to-day with right calf tightness. Ehire Adrianza substituted for Donaldson as a pinch-hitter in the second inning, which was odd because there was seemingly nothing wrong with the veteran third baseman. It doesn't sound too serious right now, though it should be noted that this isn't the first time a calf injury has bothered Donaldson. He missed time in both 2017 and 2018 because of a strain to the muscle. More information will likely be provided by the Twins after the conclusion of Friday's contest with the Cleveland Indians.--Tim Capurso
