4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals right-handed pitcher Jack Flaherty has been arguably the best pitcher in the sport since last year’s All-Star break. After his projected start Friday was postponed due to multiple positive COVID-19 tests by his teammates, he draws the start Saturday in a loaded slate. While the righty has amassed a minuscule 1.02 ERA in his last 16 starts, he was bludgeoned by Milwaukee batters last season, yielding eight home runs in just 25 innings. The Brewers have gotten off to a slow start in 2020 -- particularly MVP candidate Christian Yelich -- but they boast recent success against one of the highest-priced pitchers on the slate. There’s little reason for pause in season-long formats due to Flaherty’s immense potential, but those ponying up for his high price tag in DFS might want to ponder other options.--Jesse Borek
