4 years agoThe Kansas City Royals are getting closer to having their two best starting pitchers back in their rotation. Manager Mike Matheny confirmed that right-hander Jakob Junis would make his season debut Sunday, while Keller will be back in the near future. While Junis compiled a 5.24 ERA last season, he was Kansas City’s winningest pitcher, having also racked up a team-best 164 strikeouts. Owners may want to wait to let him find his footing rather than rostering him in a stout matchup against the White Sox, but there’s one reason for optimism around Keller, who produced a starting staff-best 4.19 ERA from last year. Both starters remain two-start candidates in most season-long formats at best until they showcase their stuff in 2020.--Jesse Borek
