Josh Donaldson Not In Saturday's Lineup
4 years agoMinnesota Twins third baseman Josh Donaldson (calf) is not in the lineup for Saturday's contest against the Cleveland Indians. Donaldson strained his calf last night and was pulled from the game for a pinch-hitter in the second inning. Manager Rocco Baldelli said after the game that he and the Twins training staff don't expect it to be a long-term issue. It's still worth noting that the 34-year-old has twice missed time in the past with a calf injury. Marwin Gonzalez will get the start at third and bat eighth. Outfielder Byron Buxton, catcher Mitch Garver and first baseman Miguel Sano are all back in the lineup. Each of these guys could use a good game on Saturday after slow starts to the season.
