Mookie Betts Departs Sunday’s Game With Apparent Injury
4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts was removed from Sunday’s contest against the D-backs as he appears to be dealing with a hand ailment stemming from a swing he took in the fifth inning. Betts would homer later in said at-bat, but was ultimately removed in the seventh with Edwin Rios taking his spot in the lineup. With a multi-hit showing prior to his departure, Betts raised his average on the season to .289, having scored seven runs atop the Los Angeles batting order. An elite fantasy commodity in any format, Betts’ next chance to take the field comes Monday with a difficult matchup against Padres ace Chris Paddack. Stay tuned for updates on Betts' short-term status.
