Nick Madrigal Slated To Play On Daily Basis As Rookie
4 years agoChicago White Sox second baseman Nick Madrigal was an early call-up in 2020 as one of the team’s premier prospects. The big question looming over his promotion was how often he would play out of the gate; now, it appears that manager Rick Renteria has tipped his hand, saying that Madrigal would be an everyday infielder. That vote of confidence appears to have paid off as Madrigal collected four hits in Sunday’s win, the first of his big league career. He is a must-own in keeper leagues as a potential star contributor from a hits and runs scored perspective; those in single-season leagues can also explore him as an option, even as he hits at the bottom of the order at the start of his career.
