Shohei Ohtani Unlikely To Pitch Again In 2020
4 years agoLos Angeles Angels designated hitter/starting pitcher Shohei Ohtani (forearm) has been diagnosed with a grade 1-2 strain of the flexor pronator mass. The Angels have reported that Ohtani will travel with the team to Seattle and his status as a designated hitter will be day-to-day, but that Ohtani isn’t expected to start throwing at the very least for 4-to-6 weeks. Ohtani returned from Tommy John surgery this season and was roughed up badly in two starts. The multi-dimensional player has suffered devastating injuries as a pitcher in his young career, but has been a useful designated hitter and may have to consider giving up on being a two-way player.
