Wilson Ramos Cracks First Homer of Season
4 years agoNew York Mets catcher Wilson Ramos hit his first home run of the season in the Mets' 7-2 win over the Braves on Monday. Ramos went 2-for-4, including a two-run home run, and drove in three in the game. Ramos, who is off to a very slow start this season, is now batting just .219 with one HR and three RBI in 32 at-bats. Ramos came into 2020 as a decent low-end starting catcher in most formats. However, Ramos had looked awful at the plate prior to his performance on Monday. Owners in deep leagues and two-catcher formats should be patient before cutting bait on Ramos, despite his slow start. Monday could serve as a sign that Ramos is beginning to heat up.
