4 years agoWashington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto was reinstated from the injured list ahead of Tuesday’s contest against the Mets, eyeing his 2020 season debut after having been sidelined due to positive COVID-19 tests. Soto figures to slot back into his No. 3 spot in the club’s batting order as soon as Wednesday and become a major contributor after a breakout campaign in 2019 that saw him log a top-10 MVP finish during his age-20 season. In addition to a gaudy 16.4% walk rate last year (top two percentile in the Majors), Soto’s name dotted the top of the leaderboard in nearly every offensive category, making him a backbone of any season-long lineups in which owners have been waiting for his activation.--Jesse Borek
